The First District Court of Appeals has adopted amendments to Loc.R. 13.2. In this amendment, the Court has modified the redaction requirements under Loc.R. 13.2 to require redaction of minor’s names in all appeals. This change seeks to provide a level of confidentiality and privacy for any minor who is the subject of an appeal. Under the prior version, redaction requirements only applied to certain categories of cases.
The amendment is effective May 26, 2023. Any filing that fails to comply with the requirements under Loc.R. 13.2 may be stricken. Where a filing requires redaction, parties must also file a Personal Identifier Form. The Personal Identifier form can be found here. The Court’s Local Rules are found here.
