First District Court of Appeals Requests Public Comment on Proposed Rule Changes

The First District Court of Appeals has approved for public comment amendments to the Court’s Local Rules. The proposed amendments can be viewed by clicking here. The Court invites public comment on these proposed changes.

In these proposed changes, the Court has added a rule (Rule 51) regarding its Technology Plan as required by the Ohio Rules of Superintendence. Changes were also made to the following rules: 3.1(A)(2), 3.2(E), 3.3, 3.4(C), 10(B), 16.1, 18, and 19(B).

The public comment period opens on December 15, 2022 and closes on January 15, 2023. Comments can be sent to with the subject line, “Comments to rules changes.” Comments may also be sent to the court via regular mail to 230 E. Ninth St, Suite 1200, Cincinnati, OH 45202.
