Welcome Summer Intern Class of 2025

First District Court of Appeals Welcomes Summer Intern Class of 2025

The First District Court of Appeals is thrilled to welcome and introduce the 2025 summer interns. This year’s group includes seven law students from various backgrounds and educations, as well as three undergraduate interns, one having just graduated. The Court’s internship program utilizes observational and experiential learning elements to give interns a deeper look into the legal field and enhance their knowledge and proficiency within it. Under the guidance of Judge Ginger Bock and Judge Jennifer Kinsley, interns will gain hands-on experience through a variety of assignments involving the judges, staff attorneys, court administrators, and fellow interns. Their work will include observing both appellate and trial court proceedings, conducting legal research and writing, assisting with case-specific tasks, and contributing to the Court’s community outreach and educational initiatives.

I’m excited to get a chance to impart all my wisdom on this talented group of summer interns before they learn enough to realize that I actually have no idea what I am talking about!”, said Judge Moore, one of the Court’s newest judges.

Judge Nestor added, “My summer interns have contributed greatly; To see a full case from beginning to end with a judge is very helpful.”
