Appellate Mediator

Sarah M. Foster, Esq.
(513) 946-3457

Sarah M. Foster is the First District Court of Appeals’ Mediation Attorney.  She coordinates the Court’s appellate mediation program and serves as the court mediator.

Prior to coming to the Court of Appeals, Ms. Foster served as a general division magistrate, staff attorney, and mediator for nine years at the Warren County Common Pleas Court.  While at the trial court, she developed a court-sponsored mediation program and participated in the Ohio Supreme Court’s pilot projects to mediate protection order and foreclosure cases.  Her experience at the trial court level gives her a unique perspective of the judicial system that she uses to assist parties in working toward resolution at the appellate level.

Ms. Foster has specialized mediation training in several areas: general civil, family/divorce, foreclosure, and civil stalking protection order cases. As a mediator, she guides parties through thoughtful discussions designed to help them explore creative options for case resolution.

Ms. Foster earned her Juris Doctor in 2009 from Chase College of Law, where she graduated cum laude and was an editor of The Northern Kentucky Law Review.  She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English.
