First District Announces Upcoming 2025 Appellate Practice Seminar

On Friday, December 5, 2025, the First District Court of Appeals, in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati College of Law, will host a half-day Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar at no cost to attendees. This in-person event is set to take place at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and is open to local attorneys.

The seminar provides an opportunity for local practitioners to earn up to four hours of general CLE credit. The agenda includes a case law update, practical guidance on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in legal practice, and an in-depth discussion of standards of review and error preservation in appeals.

The event concludes with a panel discussion with judges from the First District Court of Appeals. The judges will offer their insights on successful written and oral advocacy practices, share general tips, and take questions from attendees.

Due to limited space, early registration is strongly encouraged. Interested attorneys should complete the Registration Form and send it to coa@firstdistrictcoa.org. The registration deadline is Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
