The First District Court of Appeals welcomed students from Xavier University to our courtroom on November 1, 2022, to observe oral arguments in person. The students who joined are currently enrolled in a Civil Society and Government course at Xavier and are also involved in various internships in local government throughout the City. The students heard arguments in three cases before the three-judge panel consisting of Presiding Judge Candace Crouse, Judge Robert Winkler, and Judge Ginger Bock. At the conclusion of arguments, Judge Crouse, Judge Winkler, Judge Bock and their staff attorneys participated in a question-and-answer session with the students.
