First District Judges Speak at CLE Event

The six judges of the First District Court of Appeals recently took part in an educational session for area attorneys.

In conjunction with the Cincinnati Bar Association, the judges held an “Appellate Biennial Law Update” on Nov. 10, 2021. The event offered 3.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for attendees.

Held entirely online, the virtual event included five informative topics, each featuring a panel or speaker that answered questions from attorneys after their presentations.

Judges Pierre H. Bergeron, Candace C. Crouse, and Ginger S. Bock discussed “Oral Arguments in the Age of Zoom.”

Judges Marilyn Zayas, Beth A. Myers, and Robert C. Winkler discussed “Brief Writing and Motion Practice.”

Other topics included mediation, a case law update and practicing before the Ohio Supreme Court.
