The Ohio First District Court of Appeals recently resumed in-person oral arguments.
In-person arguments began again on March 7, 2022, after more than a year of exclusively using the Zoom video conferencing platform for the sessions due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Court’s oral arguments are typically held on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Court’s oral argument calendars are available by clicking here.
As with the Zoom hearings, the in-person oral arguments are also live-streamed on the Court’s YouTube channel, which is available by clicking here.
If a party to an appeal wants to participate in an oral argument remotely via Zoom, he or she must file a motion with a brief detailing the reasons for the request. The Court’s local rule governing oral argument, including requests for remote oral argument, is available by clicking here.
