The First District Court of Appeals Welcomes the Summer Intern Class of 2026 The First District Court of Appeal is pleased to welcome and introduce the summer intern class of 2026. This year’s cohort includes seven students, reflecting a diversity in experiences and educational backgrounds: four law students, two undergraduates, and one high school intern.

Judge Jennifer Kinsley was elected by her colleagues to continue to serve as the Administrative and Presiding Judge of the First District Court of Appeals for 2026.   The First District recently held the 2025 Appellate Seminar and Continuing Legal Education Event at the University of Cincinnati College of Law. In collaboration with the University of Cincinnati College of Law, the 2025 Appellate Seminar was attended by 80 local attorneys, magistrates, and judges. This year’s event included four sessions on a range
