First District Court of Appeals Held Off-site Arguments At UC

The First District Court of Appeals held off-site arguments at the University of Cincinnati College of Law on November 14, 2022. Many law students heard arguments in three cases before the three-judge panel consisting of Presiding Judge Beth Myers, Judge Marilyn Zayas, and Judge Pierre Bergeron. At the conclusion of arguments, Judge Myers, Judge Zayas, and Judge Bergeron participated in a question-and-answer session with the students. The University of Cincinnati College of Law also provided an opportunity for selected law students interested in working for the court system to join Judge Myers, Judge Zayas, Judge Bergeron, their staff attorneys, and some Hamilton County prosecutors and public defenders for lunch. It was an educational and exciting experience for all. The Court’s next off-site arguments will be held at Mount St. Joseph University this coming spring. Please stay tuned for more details.
