The First District Court of Appeals welcomed interns from the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio on July 10, 2023. The interns were given a tour of the First District’s offices by Judge Jennifer Kinsley before observing oral arguments in Courtroom A. They heard arguments in three cases before a three-judge panel consisting of Presiding Judge Pierre Bergeron, Judge Robert Winkler, and Judge Jennifer Kinsley. At the conclusion of arguments, the interns had the opportunity to briefly ask Judge Jennifer Kinsley questions about the proceedings before participating in a more formal question-and-answer session with the staff attorneys for Judge Crouse, Judge Winkler, and Judge Kinsley.
